Richard is a multi-generational Long Islander. He has an undergraduate degree from SUNY Maritime College, a graduate degree from Norwich University, and is All but Dissertation for a doctorate from Walden University. Richard is in his third year of Seminary at The George C. Mercer School of Theology. He has spent his career in public service (both government and non-profit), where he is currently the manager of the Nuclear Materials Management Group at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Richard worked over 25 years in Emergency Management, working in disaster relief leadership during 9/11 and Katrina. Richard helped develop Episcopal Relief and Development’s Domestic Disaster Program after Katrina. He also helped start Neighbor’s Being Human, a homeless ministry that serving those living in campgrounds along with poor living in the Longwood and William Floyd School districts. Richard has a love for photography and his coffee. He can be seen at times driving around with his dog Finn. Richard is married to Maria, where they have two children, Mandi (23) who lives in Hoboken, NJ, and Kevin (19) who goes to college in Vermont. Along with the children, they also have two fur babies, Bailey and Finn. |
